Ice Lakes Basin is one of the most scenic areas in Colorado. Sparkling turquoise blue alpine lakes defy the imagination, surrounded by fields of wildflowers, and 13,000 foot peaks make this truly an alpine paradise.

Backpacking involves carrying all the necessary gear to survive in the wilderness for several days, this means all of your food, shelter, clothing, etc. This is an exciting adventure to get into true wilderness and disconnect with the hustle bustle.

This is a strenuous hike that gains 2600ft in elevation over 3.5 miles while carrying all of your backpacking gear. You must be in very good physical condition or have experience with backpacking.
