Nicole is an avid nature and conservation photographer who specializes in photographing birds, insects, amphibians and mammals. Through her images she connects the story of wildlife and habitat, showing interactions and interdependencies that are sometimes missed. She has traveled and photographed in over 20 countries across Central and South America, Asia and Africa and enjoys discovering wild places across the planet.
She relishes in sharing the wonders of nature and inspiring others in exploring that passion. Understanding habitats, behaviors and species interactions enables us to develop more impactful images. Through our tours and workshops, she not only shares photographic tips and techniques with clients but also insights into the natural history of the subjects we are focused on. Nicole has used her images to save globally rare wetland habitats under threat of development, and take action to preserve lands used by threatened species.
Nicole is also the author of the Field Guide to the Butterflies of Loudoun County that includes photographs of over 85 species of butterflies that occur in Virginia.
