Great photography doesn’t just document that you saw ‘it.’ It should capture how you want your audience to experience the moment!” –Lisa Langell.
Lisa is an accomplished, award-winning wildlife photographer with an international audience. She is well known for her signature wildlife images that artfully capture breathtaking, split-second moments. A bird watcher and photographer since the age of eight, she is passionate about nature and creates awareness about how special it truly is through her photography and instruction.
Lisa’s work evokes both a visual and emotional connection for the viewer, offering not just a photograph—but an intimate experience with nature. “Many wildlife photographers want to have images that ‘look’ a certain way. I believe powerful images don’t just ‘look’ a certain way–they make you feel a certain way. They bring out and capture emotion, not just beauty.”
From Scottsdale, Arizona, she loves to help others discover the art—and science—of nature photography. “My workshop participants trust me as a teacher because I not only convey knowledge in upbeat, easy-to-understand, and fun ways, I also offer a gentle, sincere, and supportive approach as they enjoy their own journey as photographers. Through the camera, I help fellow photographers strengthen and nurture their skills, passion, and connection with nature to create beautiful, evocative imagery—evolving far beyond simply documenting wildlife through pictures.”
My artwork has earned recognition and awards from the National Wildlife Federation, North American Nature Photographer’s Association, Professional Photographer’s Association, Arizona Highways, Ranger Rick magazine, Home and Garden magazine, and more. It has also been featured in juried galleries, and is hung in dozens of restaurants in several states in as part of a special collaborative project.
