Jeff Mauritzen is a seasoned photographer and workshop instructor. His assignments and adventures have immersed him in vivid landscapes in all seven continents and more than 60 countries around the world. Whether photographing penguins in Antarctica or capturing images of the busy workings of the hummingbird near his home in Virginia, Jeff’s work expresses an unwavering passion, respect, curiosity, and awe for the natural world. His wildlife photography has appeared in more than 10 National Geographic Kids books, several National Geographic Traveler Magazine articles, online articles, and on the @natgeotravel instagram account. Jeff’s most recent assignment was to photograph for NG’s Traveler: Ireland 5th Edition guidebook. In addition to assignment work, Jeff is also a popular photography expert, guiding and lecturing on natural history-focused trips around the world for National Geographic Expeditions. Jeff also leads his own workshops around the world. In 2018 he’ll be leading one to the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica. |
