Betty Sederquist has been leading trips and Northern California photo workshops since 1999. She brings a quiet, gentle humor to her adventures. She has led groups to Alaska dozens of times, and also has taken photographers to the Amazon, Galapagos, Tanzania, Iceland and Bhutan. She is a former adjunct professor of photography at Folsom Lake College, and before that worked as a staff photographer and editor for many publications, including Alaska magazine and Sacramento magazine. Her photos have been published widely, including National Geographic books, textbooks, and much more. She enjoys using her Nikon and Fuji cameras but always emphasizes these are only tools, the most important key to successful photography is that “gray matter between the ears” that understands light and composition.
