Frequently Asked Questions
You’ve got questions? We’ve got answers! And, if you don’t see what you’re looking for here, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Do I need a vehicle?
Transportation to events outside of hotel grounds is not included, though the hotel does have a local shuttle to shopping and dining. Off-site field trips and meals will require your own transportation. Ride sharing is encouraged (and is a great way to make new friends). Note that NANPA does not have insurance for carpooling arrangements and assumes no liability for them. Carpooling, ride sharing or anything similar is strictly a private arrangement among the participants. Participants assume the risks associated with this travel.
Will the Meal Plan have a vegetarian option?
Yes, there is a vegetarian option, but the meal plan does not include vegan, gluten free, or other specific dietary needs.
Are there other meal options?
Yes, the hotel restaurant will be serving meals and there are a variety of restaurants, from fast food to fine dining, in the area. The hotel shuttle can take small groups to nearby shopping centers and restaurants.
What can I expect on the field trips?
Most field trips are included in your registration fee, but you will need to sign up in advance to reserve your spot, and so we’ll know how many people to expect at each site.
Guides will be available at each site at the specified times and locations.
They will give an overview of the site and show you the best spots to photograph.
No formal instruction will be provided, and transportation is on your own.
How should I prepare for a portfolio review?
There are many good reasons to get a portfolio review and a few things you can do to prepare that will help you get the most out of yours. (See this article about Summit portfolio reviews.) Most importantly, follow the instructions you receive after you register for your reviews.
