Wild Giant Panda and Sichuan wildlife winter Tour with Amit Eshel

China is rarely considered a prime destination for wildlife enthusiasts or mammal watching, with most people’s perceptions limited entirely to the Giant Panda. This one species holds such iconic status worldwide that it is difficult to picture them as wild animals living a life separate from human disturbance.
However, a growing number of Giant Pandas are now thriving in the wild. Spotting them in their natural habitat remains an extreme challenge; it’s a little-known fact that over 99% of published panda images are from captive breeding centers.
During this unique expedition, we invite you to take on the rare challenge of observing and photographing a genuinely wild Giant Panda.
This specialist wildlife tour of Sichuan offers much more than just pandas. We have allocated several days to seek out and photograph other exceptional species. Highlights include the beautiful Golden Snub-nosed Monkey, Red Panda, Sichuan Takin, and an array of spectacular avian life, such as the White-eared Pheasant, Blood Pheasant, Lady Amherst’s Pheasant, Chinese Monal, and many more
