Join me for a fun 3 days of photographing waterfall in beautiful Ricketts Glen State Park, PA.
In order to insure the maximum amount of personal attention the workshop is limited to 6 participants.
Ricketts Glen is one of the most scenic areas in Pennsylvania, and boasts 22 named waterfalls ranging in height from 11 to 94 feet.
Participants should have a strong understanding of exposure and know how to operate your camera. This will be hands on learning and all questions and issues will be addressed in the field. A laptop computer is recommended in order to participate in the processing portion of the workshop.
This workshop will require a moderate amount of hiking over rough, uneven terrain.
The full loop of this trail is 7.2 miles if hiking both the upper and lower sections, but we will be hiking it in approx. 3 to 3-1/2 mile sections over the course of the workshop. The terrain is rocky, can be slippery, and descends steeply, participants should feel comfortable in their ability to negotiate difficult terrain.
Each day’s schedule will vary depending on the weather, but in general we will be photographing all day. This will be hands on learning and all questions and issues will be addressed in the field.
General Itinerary – Plan to arrive on October 20th in Benton, PA. We will meet for dinner, Q&A and orientation. After which we may head out to shoot a sunset. The remaining days we will be heading out approx. 1 hour before sunrise, shoot until late afternoon when we will take a break for an early dinner, before heading out for the evening session. One afternoon we will spend discussing and demonstrating post processing, and a photo critique.
The fee for this workshop is $950.00 and is for instruction only. All other expenses, including travel, accommodations and meals are the responsibility of the participants.
Cancellation Policy – Full refund, less a $25.00 processing fee, will be made if the position can be filled.
