Texas Hill Country Birds and More-Nate Chappell

Join Nate Chappell to photograph the birds of the Texas Hill Country. On this workshop we will visit three different ranches to photograph a variety of birds. We will do hummingbird multi-flash photography, photograph South Texas specialty birds such as Black-crested Titmouse, Green Jay and Golden-fronted Woodpecker as well as hill country rarities, the Black-capped Vireo and Golden-cheeked Warbler. In addition we will photograph one of the largest bat colonies in the United States, where raptors often prey on the bats as they exit their cave in the evening. We will also be on the lookout for mammals such as White-tailed Deer and Gray Fox. Nate will provide both class room and in the field instruction.
