Join Tom and Cree Bol in two of the country’s best spots to photograph the spring warbler migration: Magee Marsh and Hocking Hills in Ohio. This is the perfect workshop for bird photographers as well as wildlife photographers who want to learn everything they can about creating compelling bird images. We will be photographing on boardwalks, roads and walking short distances on flat maintained trails. This all-inclusive workshop includes all lodging, meals and transportation. This lets you focus on the photography!
This tour is all about photographing warblers in natural settings. We expect to photograph species like Cerulean, Hooded and Kentucky Warblers on their scenic breeding grounds in the Hocking Hills of Southern Ohio for the first part of the tour. As we move to the northern part of Ohio we hope to see species like Bay-breasted, Blackburnian and Cape May Warblers as they pass through Magee Marsh. Magee Marsh can have as many as 36 different types of warblers that rest and feed in the area on their way north.
While photographing warblers will be a huge emphasis, we will also go after other breeding songbirds, such as Summer and Scarlet Tanagers, Indigo Bunting, Eastern Bluebird, and Blue-headed and Yellow-throated Vireos, among others.
Come join us for this fantastic trip. We love photographing birds and spring warblers are some of the most colorful and elusive birds in the United States. We promise you will have a lot of fun, improve your photography, and create images worthy of hanging in your home.
