Southeast Alaska “Seldom Seen” Wildlife Photography Expeditions – Special Offer

July 27 - August 3

These small-group expeditions are designed for photographers seeking high-yield wildlife encounters, dynamic behavior, and refined shooting opportunities in rarely visited areas of Southeast Alaska.

Working from a fast, highly maneuverable vessel, we prioritize light, angle, and background control, allowing precise positioning on subjects and the flexibility to stay with wildlife when behavior develops. This is a photography-first experience, not a fixed-route tour.

Subjects include humpback whales (cooperative feeding behavior), orcas, sea otters, Steller sea lions, bald eagles, and pelagic seabirds, along with both black bears and coastal brown bears actively fishing. Time at LeConte Glacier provides opportunities for ice abstracts, environmental compositions, and harbor seals hauled out on ice.

Encounters are often extended, enabling sequence shooting, multiple passes, and composition refinement rather than brief sightings.

Guests stay in comfortable, locally owned lodges in each community, with all rooms offering en suite bathrooms. Days are typically 8+ hours in the field, with flexibility driven by conditions and wildlife activity.
