Join Karen and Joel Schulman on a creative and cultural journey in Western Ireland, exploring the broad peat lowlands, lush countryside, ancient abbeys, colorful villages and local pubs of Counties Mayo and Donegal. The emphasis of this photo tour is the development of personal vision and creative spirit and is focused on the ‘real’ Ireland, the areas that the majority of tourists don’t see. This itinerary has been designed to incorporate additional hours of photography along the dramatic coastline and small villages of County Donegal. These natural landscapes, along with the wonderful Irish people, render this Isle a place of inspiration and beauty.

Karen & Joel are both accomplished professional photographers and skilled photo instructors. They will share their ideas and knowledge to help you create great travel photographs, whether you are using a DSLR or an iPhone! Karen is a previous winner of a NANPA 2021 Showcase Judges’ Choice Award in the Altered Reality category.

He will share his knowledge of both the technical and creative aspects of the photographic medium. Additionally, they will offer visual presentations and discussions highlighting the development of personal vision, and show how light, color, composition, gesture and ‘the moment’ contribute to the success of a photograph.
