North Vietnam Photo Adventure with Merrill Images

Join travel photographers John and Lisa Merrill and a small group fellow adventurers immersed in the vibrant culture and stunning natural beauty of North Vietnam. We’ll enjoy visits to homes, farms, markets and crafts workshops, and savor street life in Hanoi’s old quarter. Scenic highlights include the lush rice terraces of Mai Chau, jagged mountains along the verdant river in Ninh Binh, and the stunning karst rock formations jutting from the tropical waters of Bai Tu Long Bay.

A slow travel approach enables us to relish special experiences at a relaxed pace.  We’ll stay for 2-4 nights in carefully vetted hotels and a teak small ship. Each day will bring a mix of the iconic and unusual, with pre-planned visits and spontaneous encounters. We’ll have group activities along with “pick your pleasure” time, and active participants will enjoy optional kayaking, cycling and hiking adventures.

There’s an optional pre-trip extension in Angkor Wat, Cambodia.
