Nightscapes and deep sky astrophotography have become two of the most popular photographic journeys these past few years. The gear is different, shooting techniques are different and there is new software to learn. This webinar will cover the gear, techniques and software to help you get started and provide some tips for those who are already part of the journey.
Don is currently working on nightscape and deep sky astrophotography projects. Don loves night sky images over great landscapes and deep sky images from other galaxies. Don began his photography life while in the military serving in Vietnam and was an early convert to digital in the early 2000’s. Don has led numerous photo tours around the country; some of his favorite places are Yellowstone, Custer State Park, and Bosque del Apache. He teaches nature photography programs; he also teaches digital imaging. Don is a past president of the North American Photography Association and prior member of the NANPA Board of Directors. Don is a retired university professor who is taking photographs full time while traveling around the country with his wife and springer spaniel in their RV.
