Long Exposures and Intentional Camera Movement on Jekyll Island

November 6, 2023 - November 8, 2023

Jekyll Island is by far, one of the coolest places for landscape photographers along the southeast coast. There’s so much to photograph in such a small geographic area, it’s overwhelming.

This workshop will cover two similar ideas for Landscape Photography. First, we’ll talk about Long Exposure Photography…the idea of using neutral density filters to lengthen our shutter speeds to achieve fascinating and beautiful results with long exposures any time of day. The next topic, which is often confused with LE photography, is Intentional Camera Movement. With this technique, we’ll learn how to use zoom blurs, pan blurs, and other techniques to intentionally blur the entire image for etherial and unique results. We’ll also cover post processing to bring out the best in our images. Photoshop layers will be discussed and demonstrated in depth.

$545/person before July 1, 2023. $575 after July 1st. Discounts available for NANPA members
Meals, travel, and accommodations are not covered. A block of rooms is reserved at a reduced rate at the Home2 Suites Jekyll Island.
