Costa Rica: Osa Peninsula with Jackie Schletter

Experience the extraordinary biodiversity of Costa Rica’s Osa Peninsula while developing your wildlife, macro, and low-light photography skills in the heart of the rainforest. This small-group field experience prioritizes hands-on instruction, ethical wildlife practices, and deep local knowledge. Each day includes guided sessions focused on birds, frogs, monkeys and other mammals, insects, and rainforest flora, with additional instruction on timing, composition, behavior prediction, and working with natural and artificial light.
The trip is based at Botanika Resort by Hilton in partnership with a local guide team. Participants receive personalized coaching in the field, small-group critique sessions, and opportunities to photograph a wide range of species from red-eyed tree frogs to scarlet macaws.
