One of the lessons he fortunately learned fairly early in his career was to practice awareness and leave preconceived notions of images he longed to make at home; to keep them out of mind as best he could. Instead, he learned to be aware of and search for contrast, contrast of any kind. Therein lies the ability to separate subject from background and make those entities work together in balance. He’ll discuss in this webinar techniques he uses to concentrate on contrast and to use contrast to make more interesting and visually attractive images.
