Join photographer John Tunney and a small group of other photographers for a special 3-night workshop at the height of Milky Way season to photograph the stars against the dark skies above Acadia National Park and its dramatic coastlines, lakes, ponds and woodlands. In three days of evening and night field shoots and class instruction we’ll cover fundamental and advanced night photography techniques, including camera settings, focusing, image stacking, Photopills, planning, editing in Lightroom and Photoshop, and more. Most days will begin with classroom and editing/image review sessions and location scouting. We’ll grab an early supper and then head out for sunset and twilight shoots, and then into the night for stars over Acadia.
The workshop is limited tis even people and is open to any photographer who wants a magical experience photographing the night skies of Acadia and knows how to control aperture, shutter speed and iso, and has basic editing skills with Lightroom. We will be working with Photoshop, too, but prior knowledge is not required. It is also recommended that you purchase Starry Landscape Stacker for Macs ($10) or Sequator for PCs (free). A special rate for accommodations is available at a hotel in downtown bar Harbor. Information is available a registration.
