2022 Colorado Fall Color Tour and Workshop with Nye Simmons

Six full days of photography in the San Juan Mountains of Southwest Colorado, based in Ouray. There will be a half-day session on the first and last days with five full days in between. This gives us more flexibility to work with weather cycles. We will work from the car primarily, with short walks of usually less than ¼ mile. Some hiking options may be available depending on group fitness.

This is a field workshop with additional; time for image review and discussion of composition as time allows. Would you rather photograph or be glued to a monitor? We’ll squeeze in everything we can. The emphasis will be on landscape photography, “making, not taking” photographs. While there are iconic scenes to be explored, I will also help you find more personal images — the undiscovered icon — the great image that no one else has taken
