There is no bad season to photograph in Colorado, but no other season is as vibrant or photographic as autumn. In the San Juans of southwestern Colorado, mountainsides are filled with stands of golden aspens, scrub oaks dot the landscape with bursts of red and occasionally lucky photographers will be in the field when the first snowfall of the season dusts the peaks of the San Juan Mountains with snow.
