Based in Portland, Oregon, he has spent more than three decades documenting the beauty, behavior, and fragility of birds and wildlife, with a focus on birdlife as an indicator of ecological health and on remote, undocumented regions like America’s Arctic. His imagery and storytelling have appeared in National Geographic, Audubon, BBC Wildlife, GEO, Natural History, National Wildlife, and The New York Times.

Gerrit is the photographer of The Living Bird: 100 Years of Listening to Nature, a New York Times bestseller and National Outdoor Book Award winner. His acclaimed audio and film work has been featured on NPR, PBS Nature, BirdNote, and BBC productions, and honored at Jackson Wild and Banff.

For 20 years, Gerrit led projects for the Cornell Lab of Ornithology as a producer, photographer, and cinematographer, helping define the Lab’s visual and narrative voice. He is the recipient of the Daniel Housberg Wilderness Image Award from the Alaska Conservation Foundation and the Director’s Award for Outstanding Partner in the Conservation of Natural Resources from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Gerrit is a Senior Fellow of the International League of Conservation Photographers (iLCP), and teaches Mastering Bird Videography, an in-depth course for DSLR and mirrorless shooters, available at birdphotography.com.

Her photography focuses on the relationships between people and animals, and the conservation issues that surround them. Karine is only the fifth woman in the world to win the prestigious grand title of Wildlife Photographer of the Year, which she won in 2022.

Karine is an associate fellow with the International League of Conservation Photographers (iLCP) and a member of Girls Who Click (a non-profit organization offering free photographic workshops to inspire teen girls that they too can have careers as a wildlife photographer).

Karine’s work has been featured in National Geographic, Audubon, Nature Conservancy magazine, WWF and BBC Wildlife, to name a few. Her imagery is represented by National Geographic Creative, Tandem Stills & Motion, and Nature Picture Library. Aigner connects humans to their natural environment through photographic workshops and tours.

That curiosity has taken Lori on a circuitous journey, from the days of her first Brownie camera, through degrees in journalism and photography, publishing and nonprofit work, and ultimately back to her first love: landscape and nature photography. Today, that journey has come full circle as she serves as Executive Director of the Nature Photography Foundation, whose mission is to raise funds and provide resources to advance awareness and appreciation of nature through photography.

A proud member of the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA) and an award-winning member of Professional Photographers of America (PPA), Lori holds both the Master of Photography and Certified Professional Photographer degrees and is an approved PPA juror.

A native of California who now calls Vermont home, Lori has lived in nine states and remains passionate about exploring the world through her camera. Her recent adventures have taken her to Antarctica and Kenya, where she immersed herself in the landscapes and wildlife that inspire her work.

An avid bird, animal portrait, and landscape photographer, Lori finds endless inspiration in the natural world, and plenty of opportunities for curiosity along the way. When she isn’t behind the camera, she enjoys traversing the country in her vintage trailer, Dorothy, always ready for the next adventure.

He leads photography workshops worldwide through Muench Workshops and hosts the weekly podcast F-Stop Collaborate and Listen. He is also the co-founder of the Natural Landscape Photography Awards.

An accomplished mountaineer, Matt has climbed Colorado’s highest 100 peaks and completed a 500-mile thru-hike of the Colorado Trail. His work is rooted in field craft, ethical practice, and a deep commitment to wild places.

Tin Man has a long history with NANPA. His work has been selected for the NANPA Showcase Top 10 and featured on the cover of NANPA Expressions. His photography has since received recognition in many of the world’s leading nature photography competitions, including the Grand Prize of the Nature’s Best Photography Windland Smith Rice International Awards, with his work displayed at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History.

Tin Man has served as Chair of Judges for Nature Photographer of the Year and as a judge for Bird Photographer of the Year and Share the View International Nature Photography Contest. Through years of evaluating photographs in international competitions, he has developed a deep fascination with what makes an image stand out and create a lasting emotional connection with the viewer.

After a ten-year career in technology, Tin Man left the corporate world to pursue wildlife photography full-time. Today, he combines his love of nature, photography, and teaching to help photographers develop their artistic voice and create images that inspire people to see and care about the natural world in a deeper way.
