Overview of Events

NANPA holds several events throughout the year. These include educational and networking opportunities. Please refer to the links below for details about each.

• Nature Photography Summits - A yearly gathering of NANPA members with keynote speakers, breakout session, portfolio reviews, workshops, and a fabulous trade show. Usually takes place in January or February.
• Regional Field Events - A field workshop over a long weekend with excellent leaders. Takes place in areas not usually covered by Summits or photo workshops. Led by NANPA members and given once or twice each year.
• Road Show Seminars - Inside seminars on different aspects of photography, usually held in major cities across the United States. Led by professional photographers.
• Annual Showcase Competition - Members submit photos for this juried competition awarding cash and other prizes. The Top 100 Showcase winners are featured on the front page of NANPA's website. All winners are presented in our printed publication Expressions.
• Nature Photography Day - NANPA celebrates the official Nature Photography Day by encouraging photographers to get outside and take photographs within walking distance of wherever they are that day. Members can uplaod photos for publication in Ripples.
